I paint with ideas formed in the mind

These words of mine will travel time

As they jump from mind to mind

To express myself and others in kind

I make them real and give them life

Whether filled with joy or crippled with strife

And if these words carry the spark of truth

Then one really needs no proof

Across this room or across all time

Wisdom steers you clear and tunes the mind

So to yourself and others be kind

In this knowledge you will find

An exit from your pain and strife

So you can live a better life

But words can confuse or twist the mind

Or open doors behind which you’ll find

A meaning not got or left behind

So to yourself and others

On a lovely birthday summers day

A light that shined bright

Came my way

You stayed near me

Until new years eve

I thank you for the love

I did receive

I wish for you to be my wife

To bring me love for all my life

As the earth’s shadow kissed the moon

A morning dove took flight

Your many insights and stories told

Where spun for my delight

Tales of talking trees and hidden oil

At the cities core

Your sexy voice and sparkling eyes

Had me wanting more

And if we combine as one in true love

My life will be complete

I always want you near at heart

No more wandering empty streets

I know we have had our ups and downs

And now that time is done

Please know I am still here for you

To live our lives as one

In you I found the will to love

You brought me down to size

Now hand in hand

Side by side

I know we both shall rise

Lost in space I think of you my love

As rain pours down from high above

Lighting kisses the thunders bones

In thought I roam the land back home

A generous heart just keeps on giving

Helping others with the life were living

We all perceive on different levels

We won’t be fooled by selfish devils

Answers imprinted in our hearts

Every sunrise a new day start

A chance to walk another day

Pain of the past will fade away

The battle between instinct and intuition

Will bring lifes meaning to fruition

The only thing of which we can be certain

Is that death brings lives final curtain

It will be known if you gave enough

Compassion peace and love

Those who wander dead and lost

Wait too long to count the cost

All of life is a revelation

Pointing towards truths perfection

I know one with a generous heart

Helping others to a brand new start

It’s a life of love and compassionate labor

I hope we all can return the favor

I have longed for you from afar

Now you have come my Shining star

In this universe where I am King

The truth is love and you my Queen

I’m in you and you in I

And if we win its worth a try

At times it will be hard to keep it together

But lifes joys are best shared with another

Everyday must be something new

You in I and I in you

What we take and what we leave

Shows how strongly we do believe

And what is the measure of our success?

How do we know which way is best?

There is something known but rarely perceived

In the fabric of the lives we weave

Some call it the unseen currency

It measures just what we can be

Those with light do not deceive

So continue to give when you do not receive

It shows how strongly you do believe

Duality is self perpetuating

Would nothingness be more fulfilling

Than fluctuations of right and wrong

Good and evil

Where ever there is light

There has been darkness

But why is darkness

Only an absence of light

The night does not dispel the light

But the rising of a new dawn

Does signify the end of a long cold night

As surely as love is an absence of hate

Ignorance is an absence of knowledge

Some rise far above

Some sink down below

Some just loose steam

And give into the inevitable

Coming of the end

Like waves on the sea

Of my imagination

I dream myself into being

Wake me up from this nightmare

Release me from this spell

For I am a scorpion

And I sting myself into being

My pain is my venom

And I’ll make it yours

It’s time to find a new beginning

From a sacred point

In my life

I must get there

I just can’t see

I long for a return

Of the crab

The moon

And the light of Venus

In my shell of intuition

I’ll wait out the waves of delusion

Anger pulling me down

Bliss lifting me up

Touching your lovely face

Were reflections of my love for you

And every lunar ripple

On the surface of every sea

Was an expression of my love

It would still not be enough

For me to show how much

You mean to me

The deepest reaches of the farthest seas

Can not express how deep

My love for you is my Lion Queen

The lofty peaks of the highest mountains

Would be far below my heart

as it is carried on the wings of your love

And the vast icy void of space and time

Cannot express the empty coldness

I would feel if I were to loose you

My being is warmed by the sun of your precsence

As are the seeds of life

Warmed by the first loving  rays of spring

And like the mighty humbleness of life giving waters

I will always seek the lowest point

And place you above myself and all other desires

I need you like the wind needs direction

I love you like the hawk loves the sky

You consume me as fire does wood

You better me as spirit does soul

I give thanks in the morning evening

And all points between

To the one who made this possible

for you and I

And now I give thanks to the one most deserving

Of my loving attentiveness

The one who both graces and challenges my life

With your fiery spirit

For you are the one

I love more than myself

These being the highest of feelings

I’ve ever felt

A fool believes in his own lies

He thinks it better serves his disguise

His life’s been lived in heroic proportions

But all see though his transparent distortions

He still awaits my delayed reaction

Against his dispersions I’ll take no action

I cannot believe the same as a fool

Or do his lies justice by being his tool

To perpetuate his perversion of truth

He believes what he says

Without giving some proof

But now I’ll have myself a good laugh

He thinks at this wordplay
He’s mastered this craft

But there’s always a difference

Between a lie and the truth

With crystal clear vision

One never needs proof

To learn to love our lives ?

To re-become who we should be

Is this really possible?

If you wish to go home

Then use a compass

That points the way there

Words of love and gentle persuasion

Will open hearts

Quicker than blame and ridicule

We all know that actions

Speak louder than words

So don’t say “look at me”

Most would stagger

If they could see the proof

That’s hidden in plain sight

We all crawl around

Bent low by the weight

Of our own foolishness

Lack of vision

And self righteous denial

But when the lightning bolt of truth

Fires in a clear mind

Freed of delusion

This humbleness becomes strength

And that soul becomes a monster magnet

Attracting both the big at heart

And the ugly confused sinner

Because even the unknown

Finds his path on his way home

It’s hard to live with the highest ideals

With decay and destruction nipping your heels

Does anyone really care how you feel?

Death awaits at a fork in the road

No decisions to make and no pot of gold

In the earth your remains lie cold

Your body behind a used up shell

Your spirit may fly into unknown realms

With love in your heart and peace at the helm

Our aggression and fear is put to the test

Until they are conquered our souls get no rest

How do we determine which path is best

Believe in yourself it’s as simple as this

Free your mind for a moment of bliss

And seen the depth of his soul

How many sins brought to life

How many bought and sold

Is freedom a matter of just letting go

Or does one have to work for their heart of gold

Do you carry the weight of your guilt and shame

Or have you always found someone else to blame

Either way we always stay lame

How could a creator so mighty and just

Victimize his loved ones riddled with lust

And make us all blind choking on dust

Locked in our sins, gold turned to rust

How can we enjoy the physical gifts of life

If burdened with guilt and riddled with strife

We shun our own senses that keep us alive

And ignore needs and forces that give us drive

Can salvation really be just a few words away

Or locked in our ignorance must we always stay

Until some unseen mercy brightens our way

But we all need it now without delay

If you give of yourself with enough conviction

From your soul be lifted

These improbable restrictions

And will we rise above this unholy perdition

And who was it that placed us in this condition

Did the greatest of teachers really die for my sins

If I open my heart up will the light shine right in

But most don’t know where to begin

They suffer the pain of shame and guilt

Until the end

There must be many roads to the source of creation

So that each has a chance to find this relation

So that mind, body and soul can find elevation

I can’t believe only one way is right

But I know only wisdom clears one’s cloudy sights

Whether taught in the east or learned in the west

Only you and your maker decide which is best

I heard the owl call my name

 

But the ravens told me you’re to blame

I was down at the carcass

Feeding with vultures

I believed in their lies

And made it my torture

Vast oceans I did not cross

Afraid to soar with the albatross

I hugged the shore

Fighting with seagulls

I should have passed lofty peaks

With the ease of an eagle

To crawl or fly

It was my choice

I should have listened

To your voice

Calling to me

In the temple of dreams

Nothing in life

Is quite what it seem

A new wind blows

As I clear my vision

I must now act

On my new found decision

My spirit won’t hide

In the darkness of night

With my newfound strength

I’ll soar in the light

The hawk will now

Become my brother

There so much more

Left to discover

Life is a stormy sea
Of confusion and commotion
To be calm in the eye of the hurricane
Is the greatest of accomplishments
What is above So below
No beginning No end
Inside as outside
Why do we love our demons
Enough to follow our own deceptions
Why do we love our nightmare lives
Enough to keep them real
Then something jars our false notions
A painful confrontation with reality
Do we wander astray
And lie to ourselves
Or do we polish the mirror of the heart
And fuel the fire of the intellect
Destined for greatness
Let the stream of reflection
Wash our souls of tainted remnants
How can we count on others
If we can’t count on ourselves
Find your true wealth
Before you’re turned to dust
Become the gold
Loose the rust
